In 2023, renewable energy sources accounted for 55% of the energy supplied to our electrical grid. On a single day and with favourable conditions, the share of renewables can rise as high 87%.

The inconstant consumer

Demand for electricity varies dramatically over the course of the day. In Germany, peak demand typically occurs a little before midday and is approximately 40% higher than off-peak demand.

Stromfeld is a large-scale, energy storage provider. Our battery farms are located at key points across the country, providing critical load management and frequency control to the German electrical grid.
